Eddie Dekel's research focuses on decision theory, the foundations of game theory, and voting theory. In particular he has looked at alternatives to expected utility models, and modeling commitment, flexibility, and knowledge. He is a Fellow of the Econometric Society and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. He has served on the councils of the Econometric Society and the Game Theory Society. He is a past editor of Econometrica, and a current associate editor of Theoretical Economics and the Journal of Economic Literature.
