Alessandro Pavan's research concerns the analysis of the role of information in strategic situations that are of interest to both micro and macro economists. In particular, his research focuses on global games, the social value of information and coordination, and mechanism design. He is an associate editor of the journals Theoretical Economics, the Journal of Economic Theory, and the Journal of the European Economic Association, and Foreign Editor of the Review of Economic Studies.
