miles north of downtown Chicago. Evanston is the first suburb north of the
City of Chicago.

Chicago. Soon after leaving the airport take Interstate 294 northbound. Look
for signs to "Milwaukee." There is a $1.00 toll. After four miles, exit

at the next set of traffic signals. Proceed north on Chicago Avenue for one
mile to the University. Travel time is about 40 minutes.

suggestion is to call American Taxi at (847) 255-9600, or by dialing 15 on the white courtesy telephones in the baggage claim area.
Cabs are usually waiting and will pick you up in the limousine lane. A flat
fare of $31 (plus $2 for each additional person) is charged.
- By Airport Van. Continental Air Transport operates "GO Airport Express" airport bus and
van services to Evanston. Enquire at their desks in the baggage claim
areas. As the one-way fare is $31, it is usually cheaper to call a taxi.

(Interstate 55). Take I55 towards downtown Chicago. I55 joins Interstate
90/94 just southwest of Chicago loop. Head northbound. Look for signs to
"Wisconsin" and "Kennedy Expressway." After twelve miles take Interstate 94.
Watch for signs to "Milwaukee" and "Edens Expressway." After six miles, exit
eastbound on Dempster Street (route 58). Continue on Dempster Street for four
miles to Evanston. Soon after passing under two railroad bridges, take a left
at the next set of traffic signals. Proceed north on Chicago Avenue for one
mile to the University. Travel time is about 75 minutes.
- By Taxi. Cabs at meter rates from Midway Airport are very expensive, and the trip can be very congested at peak periods. Flat rate fares of $51 are available by calling American Taxi at (847) 255-9600, or by dialing 13 on the white courtesy telephones in the baggage claim area.
